What to do Before Applying your DIY Facemask


Always wash and cleanse your face before you apply your DIY at home facial mask so as for it to be effective. Cleansing your face daily helps moisturizes your skin and make it clear away from impurities. Do not forget to drink plenty of water daily so as to moisturize and soften your skin.


How to Cleanse your Skin


Use a cleanser of your choice to wash your face. I recommend Mary Kay Time Wise 3-In-1 Cleanser (normal/dry) which you can buy online at for $20.

I also recommend Regenerist Luminous Brightening Cream Cleanser and costs about $9.00 online. Get it online at


After cleansing rinse with luke warm water and dry with a dry facial cloth.Once you have cleansed your face and dried it, go on ahead and apply your DIY mask.



  1. Tomato and Avocado Facial Mask



  • Wash and mash 1 small tomato.

  • Peel and mash 1 small avocado.

  • Add a spoonful of lemon.

  • Add a spoonful of honey.

  • Add gelatin.

  • Mix the mixture.

  • Put it in the fridge for about 10 minutes.

  • Apply to your face and neck for about 15 minutes.


Benefits of Tomatoes


  • Tomatoes contain acidic properties that exfoliate, unclog pores and removes blackheads.

  • Honey is good for cleansing.

  • Lemon will make your skin glow.


  1. Milk and Honey Facial Mask

  • Put milk in a small bowl.

  • Add 1 teaspoon of honey.

  • Add gelatin to your mixture.

  • Microwave for a few seconds to dissolve gelatin.

  • Apply onto your face and rinse off after about 20 minutes.

  • Honey is good for acne as well as a great moisturizer.


  1. Cucumber and Aloe Vera Facial Mask



  • Wash and peel 1 cucumber.

  • Remove all the seeds.

  • Chop it up nicely and blend slightly.

  • Use a clean cloth to sieve into a small bowl.

  • Add aloe vera and gelatin to your mixture.

  • Put the mixture into a sauce pan and heat for few minutes just to dissolve the gelatin.

  • Let the mixture stand until it is thick.

  • Wear the mask for about 15 and rinse off with warm water.

4. Egg WhitePeach Mask



1 ripe peach — peeled

1 egg white




  • Put both the peach and egg white in a blender

  • Blend the mixture until it is smooth


5. Yogurt-Cucumber- Avocado Face Mask


  1/2 cup of chopped cucumber

  1/2 cup of chopped avocado

  1 cup of yogurt




  • Combine all of the ingredients in a blender.

  • Whip them until they form a smooth, nice paste.

  • Cucumber is excellent for oily skin. It balances oil production.


6. Avocado Olive Face Mask


1 Avocado

4 tablespoons of Olive Oil

2 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil




  • Cut the avocado in half and remove the seed.

  • Scoop out the flesh or inside of the avocado and put it into a container.

  • Mash up the avocado using a fork.

  • Add 2 the olive oil whilst mixing it with the avocado.

  • Add the mint as well for fresh scent.


7. Baking Soda Face Mask

  • Make a paste with the baking soda and water mix.

  • Use small amounts of baking soda and water;

  • Increase baking soda or water to make it the amount you desire.

This face mask is good for people with Acne problem.


How to Apply your homemade Face Mask


  • Wash you face using a face wash.MAC-Mineralize-Charged-Water-Cleanser.

  • Apply the mask onto your face and neck using circular movements.

  • Leave the mask on for 20-30 minutes, or until dry. You can even leave the face mask on a few minutes less if satisfied.

  • Rinse your face and neck well with luke warm water

  • Apply to your face a moisturizer of your choice to leave your face smooth and moist.


You can do this once a week so as to maintain the lovely looking skin. You will even notice how your skin becomes tight thus preventing wrinkles. Enjoy!
